需爬楼梯 - Condo is an upstairs unit 10 steps, loft bedrooms are on mezzanine about 8 steps up

This is an adequate space., but nothing fancy. It was clean and just enough space for we 4 adults. We wanted some place reasonable to crash at night while we enjoyed our days sightseeing in Oahu. It met our needs, but was certainly not palatial. The kitchen was well furnished. The shower had good heat and good pressure (but a moldy shower curtain). The beds were comfortable. It's not for everyone, but I liked the mattress toppers. The Second bedroom is upstairs in the loft and it gets toasty up there. We were a bit intimidated by all the "extra charge for extra juice" rules so we followed the instructions and closed up everything during the day and opened the windows as soon as we got back in the evening. Consequently the air was stale and mildewy until the cross draft kicked in and it is a great cross draft. I really enjoyed sitting on the screened porch in the morning having my coffee overlooking the golf course (watching for Obama) and sleeping in the main bedroom enjoying that breeze. But the loft was another issue. It took a while to cool off and was only comfortable with the window unit on. The idea of up charges for making it comfortable and sleepable worried us. I've never had to face that issue before. We enjoyed the resort restaurants, beaches, rentals (snorkel) and live beach side music. Would have enjoyed the fitness room and the pool, but only available to guests of the resort. There is a small convenient pool which is very small and quiet. It was a great place fora nap, but nothing special. The fixtures are a bit dated, but isn't that like 90% of second/vacation homes. If you want to compare it to a resort like turtle bay it will not stand up. If you think of it as your buddy's lake house then you would not be disappointed.
We are off site owners and rely on our guests to communicate their needs during their stay. We have housekeeping on site who would have changed the shower curtain right way had you communicated your concerns. Hawaii's tropical weather and humidity varies considerably depending on the month. Obviously "palatial" rooms rent for a lot more than your rate shared by 4 adults. Room nights at the Resort, depending on season, begin at approx. $300 per night for one bedroom without kitchen facilities; but our condos include all Turtle Bay Resort amenities except the fitness room and pool for liability reasons.

Great plae to stay. Walking distacnce from Turtle Bay Resort and some lovely resturants + Beach.

Nice place with a good kitchen & large bed rooms. Great location walk to turtle bay resort & a short drive to shops, beach & some great food trucks. Would stay there again.

Our stay at Turtle Bay Estates was everything we hoped for and more. The condo was perfectly located for our family with an easy walk to Turtle Bay Resort and all their offerings, including a super convenient takeoff point for our helicopter tour of the island-definitely the highlight of our trip. The condo was a great home away from home and nicely equipped with everything we needed, from appliances, cooking pans and dishes to the Foodland card that saved us lots of money at the store! Tamara was responsive the couple of times we reached out. We will enjoy reminiscing about our north shore Oahu trip for many years to come.

Condo is outdated in every way. The minute you walk in the smell is musty and moldy. Opening doors and windows for the cross breeze does not help. All furnishings are dated, some with noticeable dirt (lanai couches). All beds were extremely soft, offering no support; pillows were thin. When my daughter went to make coffee for our first morning there, she opened the grounds container to find used grounds with mold growing in them. Coffeemaker had to be sanitized. When we tried to cook breakfast on the outdated range, the front left burner would not work. Garbage disposal was not working, leaving a foul smell over the sink. When dishwasher was run, the sink backed up and a terrible scum was leftover. We contacted the owner about that and the air conditioner in the master bedroom, which was not cooling the room. Two days later the disposal was fixed, but the air conditioner in the bedroom was still not cooling, even after shutting off the room for an hour. It was at this point that my husband and I decided to check into the Turtle Bay Resort for a more comfortable remainder of our stay. This was after my two daughters, who were to stay with us in the upstairs bedroom, found a dead cockroach next to the bed (where a sweeper could easily get it), were uncomfortable in their beds and dissatisfied by the mustiness of the area. They left to stay with a family member in another condo at Kuilima Estates which was much more updated and clean, and less expensive. A comparison of condos proved to us that the 133 unit is in desperate need of repair and updating. The most distressing part for us is that we were looking forward to cooking a Thanksgiving feast for our daughter, who lives here and has been away from home for 6 months. However, she, and we, did not feel comfortable in this unit with it’s outdated equipment, furnishings and lack of cleanliness. Therefore, we lost some valuable and precious family time with our daughter. To add insult to injury, the owner requested more money at the end of the stay period, accusing us of taking the remote from the bedroom, giving us no proof that it was there when we got there and saying there was excessive sand and cleanup, when we couldn’t stand to stay there for more than three nights. We have been avid users of AirBnB and have had great experiences at all other properties. This has been our worst experience.

The host canceled this reservation 27 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

This was our first time in Hawaii. We are so happy we found Turtle Bay Resort and the Condo's they worked out perfect for our family of 6. We fell in love with the North Shore and would definitely go back. We found Honolulu area to be very busy and congested where as the North Shore was more relaxed and laid back.
Aloha Jackie, Mahalo for your stay! Hope to welcome you back next year!
