Anne's place was stunning and was the cleanest air bnb I've ever stayed in. So cute with incredible attention to detail. She was easy to get in touch with, provided tons of local information and even had bikes for us get around. The location was ideal, close to the center and the train station but far enough away that It wasn't loud at all. It was absolutely perfect!!!!!!! Would highly recommend!!!
Anne's apartment is pretty much as pictured and is a nice spot to rest after long days out exploring. The Jordaan district is great and filled with shops, bars, and restaurants - you can definitely spend a lot of time there. It's pretty convenient to other spots too; the museum district is about a 30-40 minute walk while other tourist-friendly attractions are closer (Anne Frank House, Tulip Museum, Museum Van Loon). Winkel 43 is dangerously close--about a 5 minute-walk--and I went there twice during our short stay for their famous apple pie. Things to note about the flat: the living room unfortunately smelled of smoke during our stay, which surprised me since one of the house rules is "no smoking." The couch was dirty and the shower room, while beautifully designed, was slightly musty since there was no outside ventilation (it's just off the bedroom). The communication was different from my past Airbnb experiences. Anne typically took a day or two to respond to inquiries, and let me know the morning of our arrival that she'd not be there to greet us. Her daughter's boyfriend was our point person throughout the stay and was great, but it would have been nice to know up front who was greeting us for clearer lines of communication. Overall, a nice place in a great neighborhood.
A cute apartment indeed, at a great location. Market, restaurants and cute shops all within walking distance. The patio was an extra plus during our stay in summer. Check in and check out with friend from Anne was easy going. Clean kitchen comes equipped with tea and coffee. Bed was comfy, shower warm and spacious. Would book here again!
