"THE VIEW" - Iconic beach house.

"The View" is a self contained lux beach house situated on the waterfront side on the rise in Matthews Street, Scotts Head. With sweeping spectacular views of the waves on the beaches, dramatic headlands and misty mountains rising up over the water in the distance, "The View" offers spectacular scenery and memories of a changing sky from sunrise to sunset. The private beaches are accessible on foot .... alternatively relax and chill around the house.

Breathtaking views of beaches, and surf. One of the few houses in Scotts Head facing true north - beautifully warm in winter and shaded in summer. Whatever the breezes - the wind protected decks make relaxing outside a pleasurable experience.

The location is unbeatable. The most superb location on the headland for these unique views. Short stroll down to very private beach, or 10 minutes further to the long beach, local cafes and village centre. Variety of lounges and deck and beach chairs to sit and read or just sit and watch the surf, the sea, the whales, the mountains, the horizon. No need to go anywhere for whale watching ... you can see it all from the View.

Scotts Head is a tranquil beach town about 480 km north of Sydney or 484km south of Brisbane. Its famous largely for its three coves, spectacular long beach, surf and the sense of tranquility. Scotts Head is surrounded by national parks and pristine beaches. The town is 12 km from the the Pacific Highway and Macksville, and 74km from Coffs Harbour to the north or 107 km to Port Macquarie to the South. Also in reach for day trips - Dorrigo, Waterfall Way, Bellingen... "the surf is champagne, the air is often scented with fragrant pine, eucalyptus and sea air".

BEDROOMS... - please note - all bookings are for exclusive use of the house with generous living areas and equipped kitchen. The bedrooms made available will depend on the booking.

What to bring?
Sunglasses, sun cream, bathers, your own beach towels, thongs, walking shoes for the rainforest walk or long beach walks, maybe a windbreaker.
Where to Shop for food?
Scotts Head has a small General Store with the daily papers and great pies, Fish N Chip shop, Bakery, Butcher, pharmacy. And a few locals put up signs when they have caught fish.
For extensive supplies - Macksville is a main town with two supermarkets, Commonwealth bank and some great cafes. General hospital in Macksville. Nambucca Heads is 20 minutes drive - fresh fish at the Fish Co-oP.

Things to Do
Marvel at the view.
Sit and read, or take a walk, or go for a jog, or join an early morning fitness class, Tai Chi or have a massage.
Swim, snorkel, dive, surf in, under and on the Pacific Ocean.
Beach, rock, creek and ocean fishing.
Dine at the SMH rated Taverna 6, the local Bowling Club, Cafe. Get a pizza from the bakery.
In Macksville there's Pizza, Chinese, Asian and great Pub Grub with the Star, the Macksville Pub or the RSL.

Visit well known Bellingen, have a coffee, shop at Hammond and Wheatley, dine at the many cafes and restaurants and drive around the Promised Land.
Visit the beautiful tree-lined main street in the village of Sawtell and visit Bowraville with its' unique, restored, good old fashioned, proper picture theatre.

Play golf at close-by Macksville, on the island at Nambucca Heads, at Bowraville, Kempsey, or Urunga and really test the skills at the international Bonville near Coffs Harbour.

Then sit and read, take a walk..............and just marvel at the view, you'll never tire of looking at it.

General Holiday Rules
This is strictly a smoke free the property. Please do not smoke inside under any circumstances.

To offer an attractive booking for couples we offer “light rental rates” - one master double bedroom with views, one ensuite bathroom and one main bathroom additional to the main living area.
Additional bedrooms will be available for larger bookings. Please specify the number of guests. We have a strict policy against overcrowding. Strictly no drop ins, no sleeping on sofas or on the floor.

All guests are expected to behave in a manner that does not cause interference with neighbours or their right to quiet enjoyment.
We enjoy a harmonious relationship with our neighbours. If our guests upset the neighbours with excessive noise after 9, parties, events or overcrowding - these would be a breach of your agreement with us. Our housekeeper may ask you to vacate. No excuses - no refunds.

Your doggie is welcome. Please ask and confirm in advance of your stay. We have a modest pooch tariff.

Vacating: When you leave - please ensure all rubbish is taken out and placed in correct bins (Red for general waste, yellow recyclables) and perishables are disposed of. Do not strip sheets or bedding.

We provide quality sheets and bedding. Please note - costs to replace linen damaged by guests is not included in the guest fee. Repair/replacement will be deducted from the deposit.
