The apartment itself is very well located. You can get to the underground within a couple minutes and walk to the Tate Modern in about the same time. The apartment has everything you need, but not much more-- it has a bed and a couch for 2 people, but only if you're willing to cozy up. My biggest issue with the apartment was the check-in process. My mother was flying in from the US and was very jet lagged and wanted a place to go right away. Upon my own arrival in London, I found out that one of Gemma's friends, who was meeting us with the keys, would only be able to come after work, when we were told we needed the keys at 2pm. So, in order to get them, I had to take my bags and go to a different part of the city to grab the keys, leaving my mother waiting at the Southwark station for an hour--exhausted. When we got to the apartment, there were no instructions, and we had no access to wifi, which was necessary since I was in London to take an exam. Once this was all sorted, the place is just fine-- just make sure all your arrival details are confirmed.
