I recently built this house for myself and would like to share it with you. It overlooks the Presa Corrinchis, a beautiful alpine lake surrounded by forests. It is an open plan living room/kitchen with large windows everywhere. The 18 foot ceilings give a spacious feel and the oversized doors allow handicap access throughout the house and lots of light. An environmentally built home, the light fixtures and many other details are from recycled bottles. There is ample solar electricity .
The house is adobe with solar electric. The huge terrace has a dining space lounge chairs and hammock. The bedroom is large with views of the forests and ensuite full bath. The house uses more than 400 recycled bottles in the lights, countertops and adobe. Truly and experience! The living room is large with huge windows giving you a feeling of being outdoors. The kitchen is totally equipped with refri, microwaves, etc. No neighbors except horses and cows. There is a fireplace for cool evenings (wood included). The house interior is completely screened in and sits next to a wooded area overlooking the lake.
The entire house except for a storage area. The surrounding acres of forest and field are not all mine but a wonderful place to explore. I am 10 minutes from Mascota and down a 500 mts accesible unpaved but well maintained road. Handicapped accessible with grab bars in bathroom , A wonderful spot to bring your pet, run free no roads nearby.
I'd rather speak with you personally about my house and your experience if you stay here. It is unique and I don't want anyone to not understand. The pics do say a thousand words...
I have two large outside guard dogs which I would prefer to leave. They are not aggressive with other dogs, but great guardians. This is negotiable. I'm happy to have your pets. My neighbor feeds the dogs but they like to stay around the house.
No more than 6 at a time per the septic tank restrictions. No use electric devices that are more than 1500 watts.
I am a lifetime expat, having lived and worked in 10 countries. Mexico is where I raised my children and ran our 250 acre ranch. I am happily retired, working on some community projects here in Mascota. I love internet and the ability to research all kinds of things. I enjoy living alone with my two dogs, but even more enjoy the many fiestas that this area boasts. I am a great networkers, former travel agent and really enjoy helping traveller find my favorite "hidden treasures" .
