Coyote Den is a beautiful space to start your adventure, relax or have a personal getaway located just 10 minutes from Joshua Tree Nat'l Park.
Solo travelers are like family, our house is your home. Please inquire about our 'JT Ramble' day trips, excursions and point to point shuttle service for JTNP and Pacific Crest Trail hikers.
"I really recommend Antonio and his precious home to anyone...This was undoubtedly our best Airbnb experience of being hosted." Anne, Aukland NZ
The Den features a queen size bed and an additional queen air mattress by request, an eclectic library of classic books, a writing desk & full access to shared bath, laundry and common areas.
The front yard is open, but a short adobe wall off the front door offers privacy and a great sitting area.
The back yard is very private, overlooking JT Village and the vast Mojave Desert. A privacy fence surrounds the yard and patio area. 2 outdoor dining tables and plenty of extra seating make this a great place to relax after your adventures.
Kick back by the fire or on the covered patio under a canopy of desert stars.
In our home, cooking, like love is an expression of the soul. The East-facing kitchen includes antique cast iron pans, a hand cranked pasta maker, electric ice cream makers, coffee bar, large microwave, spices, utensils and all the things to make your desert cooking experience fun, healthy and memorable. There is no automatic dishwasher available.
The dining/living space opens on to the patio and overlooks the hand-built fire circle.
Fresh eggs, fruit, veggies and more are available at Sam’s Market and the natural foods store nearby.
From Crossroads to Sam’s Liquor, Pizza, and Indian Food, the Village has something for every taste and budget.
Major markets, chain stores and other suppliers are located 10 miles west in Yucca Valley.
The room is private and includes access to a shared bathroom laundry and all common areas. If you require a private bath, consider renting our Deer Spirit Suite. Parking is available for 1 car. Casa de Culturas is a unique home, retreat and cultural center offering a place to enjoy the desert in a relaxed environment.
Please be aware that Coyote Den is part of a private home and Indigenous Cultural Center. I have two well-mannered, polite children that are sometimes present. The room is a comfortable, quiet space. We are not a 5 star resort, but we make every effort to make you comfortable and welcome in our home. Also be aware that other rooms will be occupied during your stay. If you have concerns or issues with the space, please speak with me directly, as Air BnB is neither able to nor responsible for providing resolutions outside of a refund.
Your host A.G. Vasquez is a noted author, filmmaker and culture bearer who offers excursions to historic and indigenous sites in Southern California. My children and I thank you for choosing to spend time with us. I can provide recommendations for sightseeing, adventures and dining, let me help plan your trip to make the most of your stay.

We love the desert and have spent years exploring, writing and filming in the Southwest. When not hanging out with my beautiful kids, I spend time volunteering, working with elders, kids and Native American groups. Cooking, music, and the outdoors are about my favorite things. I also offer guided spiritual retreats and environmental education outdoors experiences through Casa de Culturas our in-house cultural center. Hope to see you soon!
