Unfortunately, Dimitris was unable to meet us personally, but his father, brother, and mother were all fantastic, and made my girlfriend and I feel very welcome.
The room isn't what I would call spacious, but I wouldn't think one takes a vacation to Santorini to stay cooped up in a room all day.
The location is a bit out of the way from all of the big sights. The hotel is a few kilometers from Kamari, but even when you're within Kamari there's still a bit of walking to do until you find yourself in the touristic area. My girlfriend and I made the mistake of trying to walk there our first day. If you're going to stay here, renting a car, ATV, or scooter is nearly mandatory. The bus only comes to the nearest stop three times per day, according to the schedule we saw posted.
The owners were incredibly helpful and understanding. My girlfriend and I went up to Oia one day to try and catch the sunset. Unfortunately for us, the clouds rolled in right before it happened, bringing a pouring rain with them. We had to drive back from Oia (driving around the cliffs on roads barely big enough for 2 cars) on our rented ATV, in the freezing rain.. And when we got back at around 10pm, I noticed we had lost our room keys. I had to wake someone up to let us in, and the next day the hosts were very kind and understanding. We got another key and continued our vacation without any more issues.
