This is a very unique hand built cabin in a retreat like setting, just ten minutes from the University of Oregon and downtown Eugene. The home is on a small hobby farm, on five quiet acres with trails, sharing the land with multiple other cabins.
This cabin was built by hand, and uses wood from the property to create the unique post and beam look. It is 1100 square feet, and please know that the day bed and the larger queen bed are in an open loft setting. It is located on five acres, with 4 other homes and cabins. In the summer, it is lush and green, and well worth your time to simply experience the land. And, for those who are interested, the hosts (who will be staying in a small cabin on the land), are happy to show you how to milk a goat or learn about rainwater catchment systems!
There are five acres of property, and guests are welcome to walk around the land and explore.
We Sometimes stay on the property, and other times leave town. We will be available by phone, and in person when requested. We also still need to maintain the land, which includes caring for the goats and chickens, so we (or others who live on the land) will be visible but will not bother the guests.
There is a sauna and hot tub on the property that are not to be used by guests.
Please, others will be on the property, so we ask that guests are quiet and respectful of others. You can explore the garden, but please don't take food without asking.
I am a 35 year old woman who has lived in Oregon since 2006. I am an avid outdoors person, and have a passion for arts, music, and travel. I am the director of a local mentoring program, as well as work part time at the Outdoor Program and teach at the University. I am easy to talk to, curious about the world, and interested in meeting people with different perspectives on life than myself. My husband Matthew and I live in this beautiful house together, and love to rent it on Air Bnb!
