Recently converted attic in 120 yr old Victorian terraced house in safe, friendly community 5 minutes walk from the lively Cowley Road, East Oxford. Wooden floors, large windows looking out over gardens.
Quiet contemplative space at top of house with views over terraced houses and gardens - traditional Victorian layout with modern decor and friendly warm vibe. There is a large desk and chair, good wifi and tea and coffee making facilities and so ideal if you are studying or just want to retreat.
Attic room with en suite and very comfortable queen size double. Note there is restricted head room on one side due to attic eaves, but makes it all the more charming! Access to kitchen if you'd like to keep food in fridge and make tea/coffees etc.
I have a teenage son (17) and a daughter at uni who split their time between my house and their dads. We have a cat called Alfie who is curious and loves attention! There is a garden with a hammock and a BBQ if the weather permits!
I work from home some of the time and so often around to say hi and on hand to help you make the most of your stay in Oxford.
Can't live without marmite, evening primrose oil, warm socks and skiing.
My two teenagers spend 50% of their time with me and bring warmth, creativity and music to the household.
We have a friendly cat called Alfie, who lives downstairs and in the garden and does not go into the attic room if door kept shut!
I love the French Alps, Cornwall, anywhere in Italy and the Greek isles.
Enjoy Miranda Hart, Downtown Abbey, Outnumbered, costume dramas and anything with Matt Damon in it.
Recently discovered David Shrigley the artist - fab.
I am a laid back host and guest curious about the local environment and community.
I run most days, do yoga, swim in the river and play tennis. I run my own business and so often with clients in London or base myself in a variety of cafes with WiFi!
Life motto is to enjoy every moment and to practice gratefulness and mindfulness.
Looking forward to meeting you and hearing about your part of the world.
