This 2,000 square foot home sits on 1/3 acre property right across the street from the beach at the famous Garwoods restaurant and pier and near ski resorts such as Northstar. Just behind the house is a trail which runs all the way to Truckee yet has so little foot traffic it feels completely private. This is an incredible location. All furnishings are new (within 2 years) and professionally designed.
Newly renovated kitchen features rustic matte granite counter tops, stainless steel commercial-grade appliances and plenty of storage to keep your counter tops clear and orderly. We are avid cooks and made sure the kitchen has full amenities for cooking a beautiful meal! We also have a great BBQ for nice summer evenings.
Flat screen TVs in all bedrooms and the living room. Netflix and Hulu available if you have an account.
Huge master bedroom has its own wing across the house from other bedrooms and features a king bed, 2 night stands, a dresser, 2 chairs, a desk and desk chair. And of course it's own attached bathroom. The guest bedroom wing features two smaller bedrooms and a shared bathroom. One guest bedroom features a queen bed, 2 night stands, a dresser, french doors to the deck. One guest bedroom features 2 twin beds and a nightstand/dresser. All closets and dressers are spacious for you to unpack and make yourself at home. The living room also has a queen sofa bed.
The living room features a foosball table as well as many board games, magazines and books for your entertainment.
The property has an outdoor lounge, a dining area on the deck and a gas firepit with seating in the yard (propane may be purchased at 7-11 on the corner). There is sometimes minor street noise but we just turn on music--the home has an excellent stereo system which will play music from your phone or device--bring a USB cord to plug in and charge while you listen. Please respect our neighbors as you enjoy your music, thank you.
The home also features 3 fireplaces (firewood may be purchased at 7-11 on the corner), wood floors through all rooms but the master bedroom, which has new carpet, an open floor plan which allows you to spend time together and indoor/outdoor living with 2 sets of French doors in addition to front door. The home is set far back off the street for privacy. Please note the property is not fenced so practice safety with dogs and children.
All leather and fur are faux. Decorative antlers are naturally shed found antlers. Pony hair rug, bench and pillow are a bi-product of food industry industry. We hope this will help all of our guests feel comfortable in our home.

You are renting an entire private home. No one else lives on the property and no one else will rent another portion of the property. The only part of the home not available is an attached workshop and loft above, which we keep locked as it is unfinished. Garage and driveway parking available. Please do not park in the real estate office next door. Thank you!
We are not on site but we are available by phone if needed. We love vacationing at here and we are happy to share with you some of our favorite activities and restaurants. We have left a list of our favorites in our guidebook in the home.
Suitable for small outdoor summer events in conjunction with the beach or Garwood's across the street.
We do not have a home phone line in this house. We use our cell phones only. Please plan accordingly.
Please plan to bring, buy or rent your own equipment for activities including sleds, skis, paddle boards, beach chairs, etc. If you plan to spend time at the beach please plan to bring your own beach towels. If you are bringing children, we have board games but we do not supply other toys, cribs, etc. so you may want to plan to bring your own. The house has a gas firepit, outdoor heaters and BBQ. Please plan to refill thd propane tanks if they are empty and you want to use them--available at 7-11 a block away. The house has 3 fireplaces--please plan to purchase firewood--also at 7-11.
Additional cleaning fee may apply or come out of deposit in extreme cases.

Martin Luther King Day, President's Day, Easter, Memorial Day and Labor Day are a 3-day minimum.
Thanksgiving is a 4-day minimum. We recommend you enjoy fireworks across the street at Garwood's on Labor Day.
July 4th (Independence Day), Christmas and New Year's are a 5 day minimum.
In extreme weather: Please note that although we do hire services to regularly shovel walkways and plow the driveway, these services may not come out until after the storm is over. There are shovels available for you at the house. Also, is in all mountain homes, electricity may be compromised in a snow storm. The living room fire stove will heat the house sufficiently if this occurs. We have rarely had these issues.
* This is a non-smoking house. Please do not smoke inside the house at all. This house is in a wildfire danger area. If you smoke outdoors, please be sure to put out all cigarette butts carefully and completely.
*It is imperative that garbage and heat guidelines are followed to every detail according to the guidebook found in the house. This area has wild bears who will be tempted by any open garbage and may be killed or may endanger human beings if this occurs. Bears are not a threat if you manage your garbage properly. Also, pipes may burst causing thousands of dollars of damage if heat is turned off in winter. As tenants, you may be held responsible for this damage if it occurs. Please be sure these rules are followed. Thank you so much.
* We have a minimum age requirement of 25 years old for the primary renter.
* Please do not park in the real estate office parking lot next door.
* We welcome trained dogs under 50 lbs. (excluding pit bulls and bull dogs) with advance notice for an additional $30/night fee. We will add this prior to accepting your reservation. We ask that you don't allow dogs on furniture and beds in the home. We ask that you ensure they do not have fleas prior to your visit. The tenant assumes responsibility and liability for the actions of their pet while on the property. Thank you so much.

I am a business owner in the East Bay Area. I live with my longtime boyfriend, Dean and our golden retriever, Luke. I purchased this property with my friend Kathy and her daughter, Cassidy. We love the home's location and use it year-round for skiing, "beach"-ing and boating. We enjoy sharing the home with Airbnb guests who also appreciate the jaw-dropping goregous-ness that is Lake Tahoe! We feel SO privileged to be able to own this property and we look forward to many years of hosting!
