Have your own place in Amsterdam, next to the best park of the city (Westerpark) and 5 min walk into Jordaan. It has a bedroom, a living room, a kitchen, WIFI, a washing machine, a piano and a balcony. The perfect place to relax.

The perfect place to relax, enjoy a good night, have a nice breakfast, read the morning papers, have a coffee in the park, explore the city all day and come back to your own spot. And it has a world map painted on the wall, to think about where you came from and where you're going next..
The neighborhood of Westerpark is a nice balance between living and culture. The Westerpark itself houses a former gas factory dating from 1885 that has been given a cultural destination. Its numerous buildings in the park have become a favorite spot for Amsterdam locals and host a variety of restaurants, bars and a jazz club, a cinema, a bakery and a theatre.
The Staatsliedenbuurt has its own shops which includes a bakery, two major supermarkets and two smaller ones with a local feel (I prefer those:) There's also a launderette, another bakery and other shops and restaurants.
And if you cross the water on the east part you walk into the Jordaan. For those who have never visited Amsterdam: this is the prettiest and most famous part of Amsterdam. The streets in between the canals are home to many art galleries and are dotted with speciality shops and restaurants.
You will forget about time here. Enjoy :-)
I am Paul, a globetrotting, sailing, food, wine and people loving flying Dutchman. I have a good trust in people, which I learned to be a very rewarding philosophy. I am more a reader than a TV watcher (that's why I don't have one - sorry :) and I like to play the piano. I am interested in film and photography, food, philosophy, languages, literature, music and history. I ride a motor cycle and - of course - a bicycle. My favorite travel destination? Hmmm... so many possible answers. That's why I painted the world. To think about just that once in a while.
