I LOVED Pablo's casita. Perfect for someone who wants a rustic, but comfortable place to get away in. Wonderful bed. Firm, but with a thin temperpedic style topping, so the right amount of soft. Slept very very well. To see and hear the ROAR of the ocean from your house is amazing. To breath fresh air. 5 minute EASY walk to the village and beach. The stairs are nothing. I am 62 with a bad back and no problem. I actually miss the exercise of those stairs that have a good pitch to them. I also saw some good wildlife from the house, iguana and 5-6 kinds of birds. You will have to love insects. there are sugar ants and leaf cutter ants, only in the kitchen, but they dont bother you at all unless you leave food out. bugs are there. mosquitos of course, but only when i was there during the witching hour of sundown. there is net of course for sleep. for some reason lots of mosquito bites days one and two, almost none after that. Pablo was a fantastic host, easy to contact by email. He was in Montreal. I did not have a phone, but you can also contact him by phone. VERY immediately responsive and nice. His friend was staying in the house below, Elise, and she was very very very helpful with info on the area and water and stuff. Also he has a local "helper" and some friends who can help, although no help was needed b/c Elise was there. Jose is the gardener and his daughters. I was not sure exactly, but this IS the upper half of a house with an upper and lower flat. the lower flat is the turquoise listing. So, if, god forbid, you had a noisy person or a family with 3 kids below or above you, its could be problematic. It depends on your need for quiet. Which leads to the only complaint, and its not Pablo's fault. San Ag is rapidly growing, as happens in Mexico and the world. There was a lot of construction going on on the hill, at least 2 places. there is a two story Posada of some sort being built down the hill. So 5 of the 12 days i stayed there was rather unpleasant construction noise with loud mexican ranchero music radio alongside it along with buzz saws, power sanders and saws....not what i expected. As i was planning to spend time at the house to read, meditate, cook, etc. those days i just had to leave. Let me qualify. I am more noise sensitive than most. But still i think anyone would have felt they had to scadaddle. But if you are young, and not trying to get away from noise, and/or are planning to get up and leave for the day and go to the beach or tour around, then, if you get out by 7-7.30, , it wont be an issue at all. you will...

We did not meet Pablo since he left the day we arrived. His friend Efrain brought us to the house. Because the house is remote one could not just take a taxi there... we had to find where Efrain lived first.

Pablo's home was really beautiful. I enjoyed my stay. The view was amazing. He was very communicative and things went smoothly. There were towels and mosquito nets, sunscreen, bug spray, and the kitchen had everything we needed.

Pablo and his friend Conan are very responsive and helpful. The house contained all basic amenities and lots of towels/sheets/kitchen equipment.

Pablo's home in San Augustinillo was the perfect place to explore the beautiful town and relax on the beaches, which are literally a few minutes walk from the door. The house itself is perched up on a hill, only a few minutes walk on a dirt path from the road that bisects the town. The house is simple, with everything you would need to prepare meals, take a nice shower, enjoy the breathtaking sunsets, and then lay your head down for a restful nights sleep. The main floor has a nice big bed surrounded on all sides by large windows that open up to let the ocean breeze and sounds of the forest fill the room. The kitchen has a two burner propane range which we utilized mostly every night to cook food that we had purchased at local markets across town. Above the main floor is what we liked to call the tree house, as it was all wood and offered an amazing view of the Pacific Ocean. There was a smaller bed, a hammock, and a table where much reading and relaxing was done. The perfect spot to recharge during the heat of the day. Our communication with Pablo was wonderful from beginning to end. We actually contacted him on New Years Eve asking if the place was available the following day, and he responded very quickly opening up his home to us for four nights. We were shocked at how fast and easy it was, and even more surprised it hadn't already been snatched up. It truly felt like we discovered a hidden gem. Although we didn't get to meet Pablo, he arranged for us to meet with his friend in San Augustinillo who literally came out to meet us before I could even call him. He brought us up to the house and explained everything. A really nice man. If you ever find yourself traveling to the San Augustinillo/Mazunte area (Mazunte is only a 15 minute walk from Pablo's place), you should highly consider staying here. Forget the bungalows and hostels crowded on the beach and climb up the hill into your own private sanctuary. Many thanks to Pablo & Conan for a wonderful stay.

You can't beat the view at Pablo's place. Breathtaking! The breeze from the ocean keeps the house cool and fresh. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the essentials and the huge bed is comfortable. Very close to all major amenities and transportation. Short walk to the beach too. Would book the house again without hesitation. The children loved it. Special Thanks to Elise who lived downstairs. She was always so kind and helpful to us during our stay.

Lieu avec une vue magnifique d'une grande tranquillité dans un village très accueillant!
