We loved our extended stay at Gecko Lodge! The pictures are very accurate. It's quite comfortable and well equipped (gas stove, plenty of utensils, plates, bowls, etc.) The outdoor furniture is cozy and abundant. The wifi was alright but router had to be reset frequently. We work online so came prepared with a back up mobile wifi router and host also provided wifi password for a nearby business ( they use a different company) so unless the power was out, we were in pretty good shape. The power went out a couple of times/week. Sometimes it was out for 5 minutes, sometimes 5 hours. But, this isn't an issue with the house, it's just Cambodia. It's a great location as far as we were concerned. It's only about a 10 minute walk to the beach and the village has most essentials for traveler's. Rhota's cafe next door was an amazing resource... Water ordering, cheap food, laundry service, help with visa extensions, tuk-tuk ordering, bus tickets, etc. she's awesome and it is incredible resource to have next door! Sylvia (house manager) was great too. Helpful, friendly and available. The house is spacious, private and comfortable. It's a little dark so if you work online and need to do video calls, bring a usb light. But seriously, it's a wonderful place and even though we stayed for over a month, we still weren't ready to leave. Highly recommend. Would stay here again if I'm ever back that way.
