Our location will suit those who love history and tradition. The bedroom is spacious with other areas in the house, and orange orchard for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. Easy access to everywhere on the islands!
The queen-size bedroom is up one flight of stairs in a large Baroque home dating back to the early 18th century. It looks out onto a conservatory full of plants. High ceilings, and Italian mosaic tiled floors as well as wall tapestries and antique furniture and paintings characterize this room. It has sole use of a large shower room that has been totally refurbished. This room and adjoining is designed for two people looking for comfortable surroundings.
Daily continental breakfast
Depending on the season and the weather breakfast can be served in the courtyard loggia or in the orange garden at the back of the house or the dining room on the ground floor.
Dinner may be an option on some nights at an extra charge.
The adjoining conservatory, downstairs courtyard/loggia and orange orchard. Plenty of spaces to have breakfast and sit and read - there is a large collection of books especially history and archaeology you might like to browse through.
This depends on the guest. We are happy to socialise with guests and offer advice about places to visit, but guests can have as much privacy as they wish.
We are English-speaking but can also speak Italian and French and communicate in Spanish and German.
PLEASE NOTE: There is now an EU eco tax of EUR0.50 cents per person per night for a maximum of EUR 5.00 which is payable in cash on arrival and not through the portal. We also need to see you official identification.
Kindly accept our apologies for this inconvenience, but we need to comply with the current regulations.
We can offer English & Business English lessons during your stay.
This is our family home and we love it and hope you too will love it and feel at home here.
1. Since we live in a residential area we like to show our neighbours respect, by not making to much noise after 11pm.
2. Smoking is allowed in the garden, but not in the house.
3. Malta is a hot country with a water shortage. Though we would like you to feel perfectly comfortable, we ask you not to waste water or electricity unnecessarily.
4. We prefer not to host visitors under 21 and we will ask for a document such as a passport or an EU identity card on arrival.
Thank you for your co-operation.
We live in Malta in Birkirkara, but I run my own private and exclusive English Language school from the Grand Hotel Excelsior in Valletta. We love walking around cities visiting museums and eating out seeing interesting things, reading and all things cultural. We are younger at heart than in age, but still have a great deal of energy for doing new things and meeting new people
