The owner would be very happy to suggest to guests favorite places; make suggestions on day trips and share a meal with guests as they like. Atlanta is a short 35-40 minute drive from Covington. There you can visit major attractions such as The World of Coca Cola, The Georgia Aquarium, Underground Atlanta, The Atlanta Zoo, The High Musuem, Buckhead's Lenox Square and Phipps Malls and the list goes on and on!
Covington does not have any public transportation as a rural community of Atlanta but does offer taxi service and Enterprise Rental Car is just five minutes away. They will pick you up and bring you back. You have a naturally hospitable person as host so that lends itself to a great stay! We are looking forward to meeting you soon!
Guests are welcome to store items in the refrigerator and cook. You are welcome to sit downstairs in the den or front parlors. Please take care of our home and help us to maintain it in the condition we strive to keep. Granite counter tops and all new appliances are available if you choose to cook. Help us baby our new items by following a few simple requests ( use a cutting board and not directly on the counters and place a cutting board beneath any plates or foods on the counters)
I hope to get to know you during your stay and will be around certainly most of the time. I will not talk your ear off at the same time so you will have plenty of time for solitude if you prefer.

Hi, I'm Sharon and your future Airbnb host. If you love your stay you may just want to buy the house. It is going to be on the market very soon! I am originally from the country of Panama, grew up in NYC and have lived in Georgia for over 35 years. I'm a teacher and mother of a college sophomore. I love to entertain and most who have been in my home for even a short time seem to want to stay! The lovely charm of a nearly 150 year old home that has been preserved and maintained tastefully may have something to do with it. Five things I love are: fresh flowers, sunsets, walks on the beach, travel and fine arts/ dining out. I look forward to sharing a cup of tea with you. Coffee is available but I'm definitely more of a tea person. :-) I like to bake so I may even have something to go along with your mug. In the morning I'll be happy to prepare a light fruit & toast breakfast or even an omelet if you wish.
My life motto: there are so many but one is " Mankind is One". We are all members of the human family and it is nice when we get to know one another, treat each other with dignity and respect. We can learn so much from one another if we open ourselves to get to know one another. While at my home if there is something I can do to make you more comfortable I will be happy to try. I'm on the perfect street if you are a Vampire Diaries Fan. The show films just 2 blocks away, an easy walk! The new Mystic Grill just opened and so you'll get to experience behind the doors. I'm looking forward to trying it out myself. The Mystic Tours are also just 2 blocks away and near the Grill. Before Vampire Diaries though there was In the Heat of The Night. My home was used as Carroll O'Conner's Home in the Show! He was known as Chief Gillespie. Covington is coming on the map these days as one of the cities considered for the term "Hollywood of the South". Looking forward to welcoming you to this town anytime of year! I've met so many wonderful new friends through Airbnb and looking forward to meeting you and gaining a new friend!
