We have a traditional Swedish summer house that we would love to share with you!
If you want a relaxing holiday in the middle of nature, this is the place for you!
The cottage is next to a forest and there is a lake you can swim in (there are some rocks, but there is a designated swimming area around the corner too) and fish in at the bottom of the garden. The views from the glassed-in verranda and two of the bedrooms is amazing!
You will need a car because it is not in the main town, but it is easy to take the train or drive to Näsjsö from the main airports in Sweden (nearest is Gothenburg) and rent a car there. Avis is nearest the train station but there are 3 other possibilities.
You are very welcome to borrow our boat and you can buy a fishing permit from the man who lives over the 'street' (see house manual when you've booked). You can then fish directly in the lake by the cottage.
You can pick blueberries in the forest (there is a law in Sweden that allows you to roam the countryside and pick berries and mushrooms as much as you like!) and make blueberry crumble or whatever you wish!
You can hire bikes in Näsjsö through the tourist office at the station and the cycle around the lake is fabulous!
In the house there is a large living room with traditional wood and wicker furniture, and a gorgeous open fire for cosy evenings in. There are ceiling heaters on the veranda if you prefer to be out there. The cottage is meant for summer use and is not insulated, which means it is cool and comfortable in the summer, but not possible to live there for the rest of the year.
There are three bedrooms, each with two beds in and one has a wardrobe and washbasin.
Our 'bathroom' is separate from the main house and has a shower cabin (warm and cold water) and an 'eco' toilet. If you dare to leave the door open, there are fantastic views out over the lake!!
We do not have a washing machine but we provide towels, bed linnen, hand towels and tea towels which are washed by the cleaning service when you leave.

Call whenever you need to! I will answer as soon as I can.
The water in the house comes from our own well. Not everyone likes the taste of this water so we advise you to bring some drinking water in case.
There are some stones on the drive down to the house so drive carefully if you have a lot in your car and it is weighed down.
Please put out any fires you have lit in the fireplace before you go to bed or leave the cottage
Please clean the cottage and leave it as you found it
Have a wonderful time!!!
