We are located in Black Mountain and 20 minutes to Asheville, close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, and legendary Lake Lure for boating and kayaking. Plus miles of great hiking trails. We are pet dog lovers who encourage you to bring your pets.
We welcome LGBT and diverse life paths, but no smokers or young children. We can accommodate pets that are up to date on shots and have a prescribed flea and tick treatment.
A great space to unplug, relax and connect with nature.
If you have concerns just talk to us! We are here for you and enjoy being here for you!! If you need an earlier check in or later check out let us know!!
This is a green household, so please utilize the recycling bin for plastic, glass, metal and paper. And always turn off lights and appliances when not in use.
We must insist that you refrain from smoking or using strong perfume indoors or on premises.
For bathtub safety, use the blue step stool and grasp the vertical white handrail rather than towel racks.
There is an outdoor shower to the right of the main entrance, available for your use mid-May through mid-October.
Please remember to remove all makeup prior to sleep or lying on the bed, as most cosmetics are oil based and can ruin sheets, blankets, and pillows. We provide both makeup removal pads & brown washcloths, located to the left of your sink to remove all makeup.
The throw pillows are purely decorative, and not to be slept on.
We are available to address your needs from 10am to 6pm. Otherwise, unless you have an emergency, we require privacy. We can be reached at (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN).
Please drive slowly on Tessie Lane, especially around blind curves. If you meet another car, the one that's closest to a driveway backs up into it, to let the other car pass.
We appreciate your compliance, and hope you have a very pleasant stay.
Holly & Jennifer
I am a creative person who wears several hats! I own and operate a bridal makeup business, along with a staging company and do several volunteer projects. I am a former chef and am currently working on creating a food truck that will hook up local restaurants leftover food each night with people in need and homeless folks. I met my partner [Holly] in Cape Cod [Provincetown] in 2007 and moved here a week after that from Winter Park Florida.
Holly is a writer with several books published. She is in post-production of a documentary she has been working on the past couple years and has a wealth of knowledge about the Asheville area. We are blessed by the Universe to be able to offer this wonderful peaceful space to others and still take a couple trips across the country each year!
