Fully renovated small beautiful place close to the lake and the city center.
Parking inside, private access to the beach, solarium, swimming pool, tennis place, WI-FI in common area. All in a green garden.
We enjoyed our stay in Garda The apartment is small but sufficient We had a difficult time finding the building- be sure to have the zip code so that you arrive at the correct place You need to be mobile to stay here The apartment is on a hill and the pool is way up the hill Town is about a km or so but not a bad walk through the tunnel and down the lakeside path
The apartment was great for our short trip. It is rather small, there is no wifi, and the fold out couch isn't the most comfortable bed, but it is perfect for a short getaway. The location is great, just a few minutes walking distance from the lake shore and downtown Garda. There is on-site secure parking and the building feels safe. Getting into the apartment complex was a bit tricky as the gate requires a key to open and we had to wait a little while until another resident came by, but other than that it was fine. Simone was very nice and accommodating. The lady at the reception desk was also very friendly and helpful. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here :D
We never saw the host, but he left the key in the mailbox for us. The apartment was very very small, like a closet. The heater was very loud and shut off in the night on its own. The shower was not lined properly and water poured everywhere on the floor. The hot water only lasted about 5 minutes and it was pretty uncomfortable because it got so cold so fast. My partner had to use the sink to wash his hair (with cold water). The sink in the bathroom (which we had to use to wash out dishes, without any dish soap...we used our hand soap which we had to provide ourselves.) did not drain...we had to use the sponge to hold the drain open so water would go down. The bed was comfortable for a pull out couch. The building in which the apartment was located was freezing and almost vacant. It wasn't a very comfortable stay but was located close to the lake and its attractions. The view from the apartment is of the back lot and nothing like in the pictures.
We had a fantastic stay in Simone's apartment. Firstly, he picked us up at the train station in Verona and drove us to Garda. The timing worked out for him so he offered. You'd be hard pressed to find a better host than that! The apartment is in a hotel/residence complex and while small, looks exactly like the photos but better. What we didn't realize from the photos is that there is a ridiculous amount of storage - more than enough to unpack everything and not feel too crowded. It is clean, bright and the a/c is fantastic. The roof deck is lovely and we spent a nice amount of time on it sunning because the pool (while beautiful) was VERY full of children. The beach is a short walk across the street, the walk to town is along the lake and the bus stop to get to other towns is right in front of the complex. It rained one night we were there and we ate in the pool restaurant instead of walking to town. You won't find it on Trip Advisor, but it was pleasant, inexpensive and more than convenient. Luisa, the building manager, was sweet and helpful. She answered all of our questions and helped us with our laundry. The only problem was - like other people mentioned - the wifi is only in the lobby and spotty at best. If you want to look up restaurants and things to do in other towns, do it before you get there if you depend on wifi.
Simone was a great host. He was very accommodating and helpful to us. He met us and made sure we had a way to get to his studio apartment. He contacted us a couple of times to see if everything was OK. The listing was as it was represented. It was conveniently located and just a short walk to the beach/lake and into the village of Garda. The neighborhood was nice and the desk hostess was also very kind and helpful.
Simone was very easy to work with and responsive in booking the hotel and coordinating on meeting to let us in. The location is AMAZING, we love Garda and the room is a short 5 min walk to the lake and 10 min to the adorable town. Room is just as advertised, tiny, but comfortable and highly functioning. Simone has thought of everything it seems. Bed is also very comfortable. Note that wifi is only strong in the first floor lounge, not in the room. Pool area and rooftop terrace or stunning but it was a little too cold for us to enjoy them. Can only imagine how great it is in the summer heat. Still lovely to sit with tea or picnic though. Definitely recommend this area and would stay in this flat again. Check out Hotel Vittoria for fancy dinner (Simone's recommendation for our anniversary dinner) and Osteria Can y Gato in town for live music and drinks. We had two amazing evenings there - some incredibly talented musicians performed! Enjoy!
