The Blue Heron Guest House is a renovated workshop built at the turn of the twentieth century when Arizona’s copper boom was still in its heyday. The owners of the main house on the property maintained the workshop’s rustic exterior while fully renovating the interior to provide a charming, cozy hideaway in historic Clarkdale, Arizona, nestled in the Verde Valley between Jerome and the red rocks of Sedona.
The Blue Heron is a studio cottage, approximately 300 sq. ft., with a queen bed, futon, private bathroom and shower, and a kitchenette. It comfortably sleeps two adults and can accomodate a small child as well.
Please note: When making your travel plans we are centrally located in the older more rustic part Clarkdale, not Sedona. We are 25 miles from Sedona, 2 miles from Cottonwood and 5 miles from Jerome. All have restaurants, shops, wine tasting and outdoor activities.
NO smoking. NO pets. We are a small accomodation in a peaceful neighborhood; as such, we request that you please respect the quiet of our neighborhood. We do have an outdoor cat, we ask that you please not let him inside.
As residents of Clarkdale, Arizona for over thirty years, we had the Blue Heron Guest House restored by local craftsmen from a turn of the century workshop to provide travelers with a home away from home tucked quietly in the heart of the Verde Valley.
