The Manor House was the first brick home constructed in King William County some time between 1725 and 1740. Come enjoy this historic treasure of Virginia featuring conveniences of modern living.
The first floor has a grand foyer, formal living room, study, and dining room. The basement has a small kitchen with two stove burners, sink and mini fridge (sorry, no oven). There is a large sitting room for dining or hanging out. There is also a parlor and full bath. The second floor has three bedrooms. One is a master suite with a queen bed. The smaller bedrooms each have a double bed and share a full bath in the hall. These two bedrooms and bathroom have a separate door in the hall that can be closed to create a larger two bedroom master suite, great for families. This house does not have a television or working fireplace.
The manor house is part of a large estate and one of a number of homes on the property. It is the oldest and most historic of the homes available. We have other cottages available or you can rent the entire property, which is another listing. You will have full access to the grounds.
We have multiple homes on the property. Other guests or the owner may or may not be present at the time of your visit. They will not enter your rental though. We are also a working farm. We have a staff that will be attending to animals or maintaining the property in some fashion.
There are no televisions or internet. Verizon cell service works well if you have it. Bring a jet pack or hot spot if you desire internet.
We have various animals on site as well as a dog. They are in a fenced in area away from the house and can only be faintly heard.
We are in the country. This means there are bees, snakes, lizards, poison ivy, poison oak, ticks, and other creatures you would probably rather not encounter. Come prepared with proper clothing or medicines you may require.
Seven Springs is unique piece of American history. Please make yourself at home and enjoy the surroundings, but please be respectful in order to maintain the property for future generations. There is to be no smoking indoors and if smoking outdoors please dispose of butts in the trash. No pets are allowed in any of the buildings. Please do not enter the fence to interact with the animals. A guided tour of the farm can be scheduled if desired.
