This apartment was small but great for the two of us. It was a relief to arrive to a very clean and cute place that was thoughtfully stocked with dishes, coffee, etc. (so nice to have breakfast at home while getting ready for the day). I would not recommend it for anyone with trouble getting around or using stairs, because there are steps up and down to different levels to separate the space and they tripped us up at times. We had to crank the heat up to keep warm in November, but it worked well, and the shower always had hot water. The neighborhood was fantastic! The closest metro stations, Chateau Rouge and Barbes, were not in the nicest areas, but we still felt safe at all times of day and night. They were each convenient to sightseeing spots as well as to the airport via Gare du Nord. We especially loved the bars and restaurants in the trendy parts of Pigalle. Walking around Sacre Coeur was of course beautiful, and we were happy to have a break from the busy areas in the center of town. I'd recommend it!
We stayed in Muriel's flat for 5 nights recently. The flat is very small which must be expected in Paris, but it has everything you need and the location is excellent, a 5 min walk to the sacre le coeur. It was very clean and has a modern interior. Muriel was quick to respond to any question or query we had and very accommodating with check in/out times. An added bonus was the coffee machine! I would highly recommended anyone to stay here during their visit to Paris, great value for money with a lovely host!
The apartment was perfect for us as a couple. Whilst small, it was well furnished with all the necessary amenities and modern appliances. It is located close to the metro system, easily linking you to the rest of Paris. Located nearby are a selection of restaurants, bakeries and a supermarket, just minutes walk away. The host was very accommodating, including being flexible to suit our circumstances and regularly communicating with us; we couldn't have asked for more!
We stayed at Muriel's apartment for three nights in May/June 2013. The apartment modern, clean, and efficient. It is very small, but worked well for us! It's very private and quiet and we slept like rocks. The kitchen and washing machine were key too - we were able to keep food for breakfast in the apartment and wash our clothes. The apartment itself is wonderful. The location is nice, but is a little removed from most of the sights in Paris (except the Sacré-Cœur Basilica, which is literally 2 minutes walking away). If you are happy taking the metro everywhere, then there is no issue as there is a spot a short walk away, but we are walkers and it's a long way down to the river, etc. The neighborhood is also a little gritty - really goes street by street. We are city dwellers and were fine, but if you are not used to a city it could be a little scary at times. There are a few bars on the surrounding streets that got lively at night. Also close is a supermarket. This would be a great place to stay if you have more than a few days in Paris - we barely got to explore the neighborhood, which we would have loved to do! Overall we were very happy with our stay in Paris and would recommend this place to others. Muriel and her son Michael were both very helpful and gave us some good advice! Thanks for a lovely stay.
This is a very charming flat about one block from the steps of Montmartre! We didn't realize how close it is to the Sacre Coeur and the Montmartre steps, but it is literally a 5 minute walk to one of the most beautiful places in the city. The apartment is also close to a subway station, as well as the main train station in town, along with many bus routes. The pictures do the flat justice. It is tiny, but is perfect for a couple. We were able to wash our clothes in the middle of our trip (after we discovered how to use a European washing machine:)), which was a lifesaver! The Nespresso machine was a big hit as well, and having access to a full kitchen saved us a lot of money from eating out! There is a bar around every corner, and bakeries and grocery stores nearby as well. Muriel and Michel were very helpful in answering questions and providing support.
