Welcome to my cozy apart in where I live with my son. You'll have nice beds, good shower & great breakfast. 15 min. subway ride from historic centre.
Alvalade is one of Lisbon’s most acclaimed and desirable neighborhoods. The atmosphere is characterized by the traditional way of life of Lisbon’s inhabitants. In addition to authentic shops and cafes, you'll find some of Lisbon’s best unpretentious restaurants. The architecture is the best built in the 1950s in Lisbon.
Come & see for yourself!
What I love in my apartment is the sunlight, the space, the garden and its great location in Lisbon. The Alvalade neighborhood is well served by public transport (bus, metro, taxis and train). Quickly, can go to any point in Lisbon. We have two Metro stations at the same distance ("Roma" and "Alvalade"), 2 minutes walking. The main universities of Lisbon are a 10 minute walk. The largest garden of Lisbon (Campo Grande) is 7 minutes walk.
The building was constructed in 1950 and was inhabited by the same people until 2002. When I bought the apartment was the same as the original, had not been subject to any change. The same furniture kitchen, chimney, pantry, stone kitchen sink, stone countertop to the sove. In the bathroom is repeated the same thing.
Based on this picture, I tried not to make big changes from the original, especially in the kitchen. Basically removed 4 door, I made a contemporary bathroom, but tried to keep the old kitchen environment. The rooms have kept the wooden doors of the windows. The doors of the house are the original and I took advantage of some of the stones kitchen to the living room. The switches of light are similar to those found in the apartment. In other words, you can breathe and feel the quality of life in the 50s in Lisbon.
The street is quiet and when you open the windows to the garden hear the birds singing. Originally, a garden was divided by 8 neighbors, where each had a small vegetable garden, something typical in Lisbon 50s. Today the garden, which is shared with neighbors, has orange, lemon, apple and plum trees, and is a great place to kick back.
The building has no elevator and the apartment is on the 3rd floor.
One room has a "Queen" size bed, two chairs, free 3 drawers for your clothes, and still plenty of room to ensure a good stay. The other room has two single beds, two chairs, place it landed for a suitcase. You will have 3 free drawers for your clothes. And if you want a desk, ask me to prepare the furniture.
Ideal for couples with children (over 10 years); and groups of friends (up to 4 people). Assure comfortable beds, a good shower and typical Portuguese breakfast.
Can access the public areas of the house (living room, dining room and kitchen).
Available to give information about Lisbon and its surroundings and especially facilitating the accommodation of guests. Tell me what kind of tour you want to do in Lisbon (museums, shopping, walking around, night life, beach, etc.) and I'll help you to plan your visit.
