Shared one bedroom apartment, north of Central Park. Very close to four subway lines and many great tourist spots! Comfortably sleeps two people on a sofabed in the living room, unless the host is not there, and then the entire apartment is available.
I live in a first floor one bedroom apartment located on 113th Street in South Harlem, New York, in a great up-and-coming area. New restaurants, shops, condos have opened in the area within the past few years to really bring about a lot to do, and is also near Columbia University. Bier (beergarden) on the corner, Dunkin Donuts, champange bar, sushi, boutique on the street, etc. This is within 3 blocks of both the B/C subway (blue & orange lines, local) and the 2/3 subway (red line, express).
The bedroom and living room are separated by a long hallway for better privacy. The living room is available for space on a very large sofa with chaise that pulls out into a queen size sofa bed with a memory foam mattress! I also have a queen size and twin size air mattresses available for extra sleeping space, if you have additional guests. The kitchen is on the side of the living room through an archway and the bathroom is in the bedroom down the hall. There is also plenty of closet and storage space. I take pride in the decorating of my apartment and make sure that it's well decorated and pleasing to be around. I am also a very neat and organized person and keep a very clean apartment.
LGBT FRIENDLY. I am a single gay male who works in Human Resources in the medical field, so guests who are similar, or are okay with this are preferred.
I work Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm, so anyone staying on the weekdays would not see me during those times, but I am usually always home on the weeknights. On the weekends, I'm usually out socializing with friends, so am not always home.
The bathroom is located in the bedroom where I sleep, but it is not a bother for me to have anyone use it, while I'm in there. I always leave the door open. I always just remind people so they are aware that it won't be an issue or anything.
Here are the Check-In/Check-Out details:
-Mon-Fri: check-in after 5:00pm
-Sat-Sun: check-in anytime
-Check-Out can be anytime Mon-Sun
I do not allow drugs or illegal substances of any kind. Also, please treat the place with respect as you would your own and keep it clean within reason.
I am a young professional who is enjoying life in New York City! It's a great place to live, work, and have fun. I am gay and socialize often with my friends by meeting up at restaurants, going out downtown, and never regretting anything. I have a pretty normal work schedule (Mon-Fri, 9-5), go to the gym after, then come home to cook dinner. I love all sorts of food and enjoy cooking a variety of meals.
I have also done many things in NYC and can give some great advice on places to go, things to see, and even those little gems that you would only find out about from someone living in NYC and should be sure not to miss! If you like going out to bars and/or clubs, I could give some recommendations, or even bring you along for a night of socializing and fun!
