A sailor's dream! Enjoy a bright and quiet room on the columbia in this lovely floating home. It is the perfect escape for someone looking for quiet respite while still being close to downtown Portland or Vancouver. Must be okay with cats, I have two. The room also has a desk and TV/DVD. Parking available. Please note, check in times are flexible but check out is at 11am, unless we make other arrangements.
It's a new home, tons of natural light and direct access to the river. This room in particular has the best light in the house.
There is a gorgeous river facing porch, I have lots of great books to nestle in with or make a cup of tea and watch the boats sail by. Across the river at Alder Creek, you can rental kayaks and SUPS and such easily. I have every kind of cooking appliance you might hope for and a lovely separate bathroom with all the stuff you may need while traveling. It is a very comfortable but small home that i share with my two cats. There is wifi, a school park nearby, and a gas fireplace. There isn't much within walking distance otherwise, but restaurants and cafes are close by. Please note: you will hear the sounds of the river, my neighbors moving on the dock, and me moving around the house.
I'm always coming and going but I am happy to spend time too. I love sharing food and conversation but mostly stay preoccupied with my own work.
Please be aware that the cats do not go outside and it's essential that you help to keep them from getting out. This does require an awareness that doors do not stay open, that is all. You are welcome to use the laundry as well.
The moorage has quiet hours after 10pm, so please no loud conversations/music on the porch at that time.
Please be kind, clean, and gentle with my pets
