Pop down to Benny's for fresh bread, cakes and our world famous apple tarts! Breakfast, lunch & barista coffee served daily. Castlerea is a vibrant market town with great amenities. Hello from the rolling hills of Sligo! Our property is a spacious, modern, 1st floor studio appartment adjacent to our family home. It is fully furnished to a high standard with all mod cons. Bright & airy with a beautiful view over mature hardwood forest, it is nestled on a working sheep farm. It is a short 10 minute drive to Sligo Town, 3 minutes to Castledargan Hotel and Golf Course, and 5 minutes to Markree Castle with easy access to upland and forest walks, and world renowned beaches.

The Cottage

Beautifully renovated Rural cottage, Located 15 minutes from Roscommon town and 20 minutes from Castlerea. This is a cosy house, fully insulated, with central heating complemented by a solid fuel stove, with kindling, turf and firewood provided for your convenience to provide cosy evenings as the night draws to a close and you unwind for the evening. Ideally located for fishing- river Suck 10minutes away and facilities on site for preparation including locked shed.

Family home in the heart of Roscommon town convenient for all local attractions. Hanons hotel is round the corner for meals/drinks. Roscommon town is an easy walk of 1.5k. Roscommon Community Hospital is directly opposite the property. Toys and swings are available for children to play with and a sheltered shed with a climbing wall in case of rain. The house has a heat recovery ventilation system, solar panels, solar heated hot water and Electric Vehicle Charger.

The Herd House Cottage

Our cosy 150 year old stone cottage in the heart of Roscommon is the perfect base for exploring the countryside, or just retreating into the tranquility in the stunning natural surroundings of our farm. Due to Covid-19 it is a minimum stay of 2nights, with one night blocked before and after each reservation to ensure everyones safety. There is a wide range of fun activities to explore and see in the nearby areas for all to enjoy.

The house is situated just outside the historic town of Strokestown and is the perfect base for fishing, walking, cycling or a peaceful escape from busy everyday life. It is the perfect base from which to plan your trips around County Roscommon, the West and indeed any part of Ireland.
