Kirkjuland is a small farm just 10km north of Reykjavik, on Kjalarnes. Located under the beautiful mountain Esja. Peaceful and cozy.. We can host 2 persons at our facility. Fantastic view over the Reykjavik area. We are close to many beautiful places you would want to visit; like Thingvellir national park, Glymur the highest waterfall in Iceland, Húsafell , Krauma, Giljaböð natural bath places, etc. All photos of the northern lights taken in our garden! They are both very private though it is just a stone’s throw away from the Ring Road. Excellent base for exploring the wonders of the South, for instance Gullfoss & Geysir, The Westmann Islands, the beautiful waterfalls along the south coast and The black beach in Vik.

It's located in West Iceland with a view over Lake Eiðisvatn, the Hvalfjörður and the spectacular mountains around the fjord. Behind the small village of Melahverfi, which is signposted on the ringroad. Akranes is around 15 minutes away. In autumn and winter, this is also a good place to watch the Northern Lights. Although the view is wonderful, you can't help but see an aluminium plant a few kilometres away.
