Rustic Retreat

Quiet, private, secluded home on 25 acres of forested land. The home was built from logs milled on site. Enjoy filtered spring water, natural light, stargazing, & views of the tops of Mount Baker and the Sisters on a clear day. Owls and Elk can be heard during the evening hours at certain times of the year. Heat is provided by a wood stove and 3 space heaters. Mount Baker is 1 hour away; Bellingham is 30 minutes. Well-behaved, house trained, and supervised pets are welcome with a per pet fee.

The North Fork Riverbend boasts the Huckleberry Hideaway! A tiny log cabin located along the Mt Baker National forest! Perched along the North Fork of the Nooksack River! Enjoy your cup of coffee or tea on the deck or do yoga while listening to the bald eagles! Swing in the hammock of the pavilion while enjoying the fire pit next to the river! This unique Snowline cabin is a great home base for year-round activities in the Mount Baker area (aka Koma Kulshan) in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, North Cascades.

We built this tiny house after a trip to Japan where we fell in love with the concept of “shinrin-yoku” (forest bathing or taking in the forest atmosphere). Even though this property is located within a small, private neighborhood, the forest and a rushing creek can be enjoyed from every area. Try your hand at tiny home living in the 196 square foot space. Or cheat a little and sit outside on the cute little porch or creekside deck.
