First I will teach you how to make a refreshing Peruvian cocktail based on Pisco (a typical Peruvian liquor). Then we will learn about the origin of Ceviche while cooking it. This will be a hands-on training experience. You will get to do your own Ceviche and learn the techniques and presentation of the dish so you can cook it to your friends at home. We will also have an appetizer so you can try more from our Peruvian gastronomy. After the cooking experience, we will all sit together in the dining room where you can enjoy the food and ask questions about Peru, the food and the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area. We can give you tips and recommendations for activities and restaurants in the area.
I’m Peruvian, I come from a family of chefs starting from my grandparents. My father owned a restaurant and also cooked privately for medium sized parties. I grew up helping and learning, during that time I dominate the art of Peruvian food, especially Ceviche and Pisco cocktails. I made several events myself back in Perú and some here in Florida. I have been doing private cooking classes for my friends and their friends for almost 3 years. I enjoy the company while cooking and getting to know people from different cities and countries. I’ve noticed how well appreciated is our food and I would like to share my knowledge with people from around the world and how better to do that than in my own home! My classic sea food Ceviche is one of the best ones you’ll ever try, I promise!
