Guests prepare ingredients for Tteok-bokki and Gimbob. -Tteok-bokki(stir fried rice cake with red pepper paste) : rice cake, fish cake, sausage, cheese and etc. -Gimbob(rice roll served with mustard sauce) : dried laver, steamed rice, carrot, pickled radish and etc. 4. Guests make Tteok-bokki and Gimbob based on my mother’s super-easy recipes. 5. All of us gather around a table and enjoy what we cooked. Hi, there :) I am Moon. If you have a plan to travel in South Korea, I’m sure eating the most famous street food, Tteok-bokki and Gimbob is on your must-do lists. Why don’t you come over to my cozy, lovely home and cook them with your local friend? I’d like to share my mom’s super-easy but yummy recipe for you to keep the traveling mood by cooking them even after coming back to your place. I majored in English Literature and worked in fair travel field. I can tell you traveling around the world and communicating with people is everything in my life. Now, as a mother of a beautiful boy, I’d like to invite the world like you to my place. Let’s have fun by trying local food and talking about the beauty of travel, sitting around a table. (As I told you, everyone including a family with kids are always welcome.)
A Korean traditional drink, Sikhye will be served.
All kitchen tools are prepared.
This class will be taken at my own home. As it's an apartment, you can experience the real local family's daily life with us. I'm sure you fall in love with our place and us!
We have a kid. During a class, he's not supposed to be home. But, if you are with kids and want to let the kids play together, pls inform me in advance. While we enjoy cooking, they can also have good time together under the supervision of my husband.
