Guests will arrive at my place, where we will begin preparing. I'll fill you in on the meal, and you'll jump right in with chopping, sautéing, cooking, and finally eating our delicious creation. Please note that I tend not to follow recipes - so feel free to make suggestions, try your own hand in experimenting with the meal, and learn as we go! If you have a craving, let me know what you fancy that day and we can accommodate to your taste buds. You DON'T HAVE to be a vegan or plant-based eater to enjoy this experience! You just have to be willing to try new things and have a bit of fun. This is the perfect experience for open-minded people - definitely not the place for picky eaters. We will utilize any vegetable our Earth has to offer. Don't worry - I have never ever created a meal that was too awful to eat! (you can always come back from a "mistake"). During our meal, I'll do my best to share my personal favorites of the local area with you if you're from out of town.
My background is quite diverse. My mother grew up in Singapore, so in my childhood meals usually were asian dishes (or experiments as she called them) as well as western meals. I'm here to carry on the experiments - except this time, all plant-based! I want to help show people that it can be so simple to experiment with cooking - even for those who are just starting off with plant-based eating. I love to bring my travels into the meals I cook. I have traveled to many southern asian countries, lived in Glasgow, Scotland for two years (one of the most vegan friendly places), stayed a month in Israel (Tel-Aviv is also a vegan capitol of the world!), and more. I find it truly fascinating to show people that we can replicate most foods to be a bit healthier for us, without sacrificing flavor!
