This experience opens for you the doors of London's tiny bohemian apiary where you can inspect a beehive, peep into the inner workings of bees in an observation hive, discover different types of hives - from Warre to top bar to what's called national standard, interact with different species of bees, and discover the tastes of honey from our unique international collection. In this experience, our head beekeeper Ali will give you a full on introduction to the world of bees and ethical beekeeping, then we offer you the chance to gear up and join us in a hive inspection in our tiny apiary A honey tasting session in our bohemian garden and ending with some beer, wine or herbal tea with the distant sound of buzzing. Proceeds from this experience will go to support our initiative Bees and Refugees.

I'm the founder of Bees & Refugees initiative. After 20 years of supply chain and fashion management, I fell in love with bees, so I left the world of luxury fashion and became a full-time beekeeper! I took a ton of training, volunteered with mentors, got involved with local beekeeping organisation. I am currently running a 25 beehives project to offer raw honey to the community as response to Covid-19. By buying this experience you're supporting a local initiative that aims to provide workshops for local refugees in Beekeeping and hive making & queen rearing methods. Beekeeping suit & gloves
We will conduct our workshop in our tiny West London house/urban garden, where you will have a private room to change into your beekeeping suit.
最多可有8位年满6周岁的参与者参加。 Please wear long pants and closed toe shoes. Do not wear any perfumes or colognes. Please bring your camera to capture your interaction with the bees. We also recommend bringing a water bottle.
Protective clothing to layer such as full length pants, long sleeved shirts and closed toe shoes. Don't worry, we will also have plenty of beekeeping equipment (suit and gloves) for you to wear! I will provide bottled water but you might bring your own.
Please be aware that we might have to delay opening the hive if it's raining, last thing we want is to harm or cause any stress to these little beautiful creatures.
