In this workshop, guests are invited into the kitchen to explore the art of biscuit making. Marsharelle and Shelly take guests beyond the basics, showing them how to elevate and prepare a foundation recipe in different ways. In honor of their hometown and their brand, attendees prepare two signature biscuit recipes from the Sweet Potatoes and Black Beans recipe collection: The Philadelphia Cream Cheese Biscuit and The Sweet Potato Biscuit. While the biscuits bake, participants will enjoy light refreshments, wine, and food based conversation should they choose. Guests then have the opportunity to explore the diversity of biscuits with different toppings,as well as suggestions for taking the biscuit from a side order to a main meal event. Each guest leaves with a batch of their biscuits to share with others, or enjoy on their own!
Rochelle, owner of Sweet Potatoes and Black Beans is a food experience curator. She will be co-hosting this experience with co-owner, Marsharelle. Whether customizing and preparing menus for in home intimate social gatherings, or hosting pop up events and conducting workshops , it is the joy that food brings to others that drives our passion.
We will provide lite bites and wine during the cooking class. Each guest will also leave with the biscuits they prepared.
We will be in a gorgeous modern kitchen in Shelly’s home where both her and Marsharelle will lead you to biscuit heaven!
