Three fun hours of food, drink, history, camaraderie, and an insider's view of Coeur d'Alene. “Start with a Tart!” at Seasons Restaurant. Learn the evolution of this dish formed in the mind of Chef Scott as he and his crew treat us royally. Next we Have a tasting at Coeur d’Alene’s most iconic joint which has served the same menu for 112 years, but...enjoy this food in the cozy tree shaded park on Sherman Avenue. After a 360 degree history of Coeur d’Alene, past, present and future we take a step back in time and into another country as we taste Bangers and Mash at the newest, hottest restaurant in Downtown Coeur d’Alene, The Crown and Thistle, a British style pub. Step out of the England and into Coeur d’Alene’s historic 1905 Roosevelt School. The first permanent school in Coeur d’Alene is now a boutique hotel serving bread pudding only to its guests at check in time. But...we have arranged to savor that pudding while sitting in the shade on their outside patio, yum! A few blocks away but still over 100 years old is the Greenbriar Inn, home of 315 Martinis and Tapas. Smell the Ribs that have slow baked for six hours and a wheel of corn baked until the Parmesan cheese melts, can you taste it? Now on the final stretch we arrive at the home of the most unique flavors in Coeur d’Alene, Abi’s Ice Cream. Orange Cardamom? Honey Lavender? You chose!
I am a 16 year resident of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. I have owned a restaurant and started numerous small businesses servicing the northwest. I have personally experience over a dozen Food Tours in Asia, Italy, Greece, Ireland and all over the USA. I have explored, camped, boated, hiked, biked, walked and eaten my way through Coeur d’Alene, the “Lake City”. I have hosted guests in my home, lead tours of Lake Coeur d’Alene and lead a local downtown walking food tour. I love my city and want to help others see why I have fallen in love with Coeur d’Alene.
