First, we'll have a casual conversation about you and your jewelry design. You'll pick one or two natural stones from more than 30 colors and 3 different types of stone. According to your choice of stone and personal taste, we'll discuss ways to complete your work efficiently and perfectly within the time allotted. Then you will begin making your piece under the guidance of a skilled jewelry artist. You'll learn how to deal with hard materials—in this case, silver and natural stones—and how to use jewelry-smithing equipment such as a jeweler's saw, files, and hammers. This knowledge is related to your own safety in the workshop, too. During the class, I'll take some snapshots of you which I'll send to you later by email.
I'm an expert jewelry designer and maker. I started my career as a jewelry artist in 2012, integrating cultural and personal meaning into my designs. Over the years I’ve participated in several art and fashion events in Korea and abroad. Since opening my jewelry studio, Sterling Mag, in 2017, I've been sharing my passion for jewelry-smithing with my workshop students who have diverse cultural backgrounds from all over the world.
