Hello, my name is Kim Anh Doan, I am very passionate about photography and the culinary arts. After years of working as a food magazine editor, stylist and creative lead for different F&B brands, in September 2017, I founded Away Studio - a creative workshop & kitchen studio based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. In the heart of this dynamic and fast-paced metropolis, my classes are designed to help connect people and also find slow moments of peace. Join me and learn how to make authentic local home-cooked dishes in my lovely kitchen and be introduced to Vietnamese dining etiquette and customs!
Beside a home-cooked lunch/dinner, guests will be served with tea or cold beer :)
We will cook together at my unique cooking studio with an open plan kitchen. As a food stylist, I have a collection of beautiful vintage Vietnamese ceramicwares which will be used for an authentic experience. We don't do market tours because of food safety concerns. I only buy ingredients from trusted farms and distributors. If you are interested in beautiful ceramics and Vietnamese handicraft, I can bring you to some of my favourite shops!
