Hiking in Paris ( 7miles, 14000 steps) is the best way to Get a Fresh Look on Paris, to get closer to the Parisians, see them in their natural habitat! ;) I have prepared an itinerary that works on contrasts to garantee you will experience waouh moments! It blends architecture, parks and gardens, lively pedestrians quarters and more! Here is a sample of what you will see: -A 19th century village (right there in the middle of Paris)... which you will find at the top of a mountain (well a 63 m high hill , which for Paris is a mountain!), known as la Butte aux Cailles. Cool Parisians and students migrate there at the week-ends for the great atmosphere and a cheap drink. -The Little Asia of Paris... which has a very distinct feel to it, with its shops, surpermakets and restaurants. Did you know that Paris had the largest Asian community of all European capitals? -Street Art (almost) everywhere... dispatched here and there, you will see tags, graffiti and monumental murals by French and international artists ( Seth, Jeff Aérosol, Tristan Eaton) -Grand Finale by the river Seine... where, if you have the time, I'll be happy to chat and share a drink with you!
A lifelong Parisian and traveller, I love walking in my city and I've walked in cities around the world. I find it's a great way to know a place! I enjoy sports in general, I'm an aïkido black belt and a yoga enthusiast. For the last four years I've been organising hikes all over Paris for a French-speaking hiking group. And the rest of the time I teach English as a foreign lanquage in a Lycée (French high school)
-A 19th century village hidden on the top of a hill in the heart of Paris -The Paris Chinatown (Little Asia) -Street Art Murals (to be found almost every where) -Quaint little parks and gardens (green and lush and... beautiful floral compositions by the gardeners of the Paris city hall) -The new Latin Quarter (a university in an old mill...) -Modern architecture (will make in you react!) - Spring Water (want to taste it? Bring an empty bottle)
最多可有10位年满18周岁的参与者参加。家长也可携带2岁以下的儿童参加。 You must be used to walking for more than 2 hours, and be in relatively good shape.
Bring lots of water, wear proper walking shoes, the appropritate clothes depending on the weather. Please note that come sun, rain, hail or snow... we will hike :)
