Ride with me and discover the history of the city through Modern Berlin's architecture. This bike trip covers all the design gems and most modern buildings, from Norman Foster's Reichstag and Renzo Piano's buildings to Soviet Times architecture.
After the destruction of Berlin in the II World War the city became a playground for modern Soviet and West architects who created some of the world's finest architecture. The jagged angles of the Jewish Museum, the Karl Marx Boulevard, 1957's International Modern Housing Exhibition, the inner "vineyards" of the Philharmonie or the Bauhaus Archive are just an example of it... and the easiest way to see it all is by bike.
Even if you have been in Berlin before you will discover something new. I will take you from East to West of the Berlin Wall to visit the best classic and modern buildings while chatting about the story and the architect behind each spot. Some of the great sites on this tour include: Peter Eisenman's Holocaust Memorial, the Netherlands Embassy designed by Rem Koolhaas, Frank Gehry's DZ Bank building, Daniel Liebskind Jewish Museum, and much, much more!
Skip the tourist lines and see the real Berlin with me, a modern urban city with a soviet face in the East, and a Modern one in the West and an urban collection of hidden spots.
Other things to note
Get ready for a fun biking but with out the street of a race. This experience is completely personal and we will tailor it together according to your needs.
I lead small groups (6 max) so you will feel very confortable.
The biking is easy for everyone, we’re only covering 6 or so miles (10 kms).

I come from an artist family, my grandfather was an architect and my mom an art teacher, so I grew up surrounded by blueprints and art books.
After studying Graphic Design and Art History in Bogotá, Colombia, I moved in 2012 to NYC where I created a City Photography Experience which I conducted for 4 years.
In 2016 I married a lovely German "Frau" and moved with her to Berlin; here I work as local Photographer for private clients and on my free time I guide Street Art and Architectural Tours. I'm a lover of the Bauhaus, Brutalism, and 50's and 60's Modernist Architecture.

Alexander Platz - Fat Tire Bikes
柏林
We'll meet at Alexander Platz, the quintessential of East German architecture where we will pick up the bikes and we'll have a talk about the history of Berlin and it's famous TV Tower. From here I will take you to see some of the Soviet blocks (that's more Moscow than Berlin). We will then cross the Berlin Wall to the West until we reach Niemeyer's house complex. We will stop for a coffee after we have visited the most iconic buildings in town.

- I really appreciate this tour and the way Antonio organised and forwarded information. I have seen interesting places which I would never explore of my own as well as touristic areas from a new point of view. Antonio picked out save ways for bike ride with less traffic but the more interesting sight seeing’s. You may think „ he is no nativ, how can he be a tour guide“ - but in fact he is! He answered every question rising up. Best combination of good background knowledge and friendly personality. I really recommend this tour with Antonio.
- Going from east to west: It was nice to hear stories about the history of the buildings from a non-architect. His personal fascination helps to see other things then what architects normally are focused on. He showed us some unexpected places which we never would have found ourselves. We enjoyed the whole trip!
- Antonio takes you through a slice of Berlin that goes from east to west and gives you an understanding of the city from a local perspective. If you are expecting to see the “top sights” in the city- this is not for you! This is for those that truly want to understand what Berlin is all about. Thanks Antonio!
- What a wonderful tour - Antonio showed us some places that we very different, a real mixture of East and West. He had a lovely relaxed nature and made sure we had enough time to look around. He also guided us through the roads of Berlin and we made it safely through crowds of people at times without losing each other! Thank you Antonio for a great experience!
- A journey through Berlin’s past, present and possible future!!! Antonio’s relaxed and knows Berlin. And how + when + why it was built. From East to West. You will see how Architecture has shaped the minds of Berliners past, present and future. Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for fun and depth. Bravo!
