After pick up from the Arjangarh metro station, we will drive to Mangar, a charming 700 years old village to and experience rural life. After spending sometime in the village. After parking the car near the village , we will walk into the sacred forest to a hermitage present inside the forest. This valley is a part of The Aravallis (oldest plateau ranges of the world). On the way, we will spot different kinds of birds including peacock and gorgeous Indian Pitta - an elusive bird that inhabits the scrub jungle. At the hermitage we will meet the hermit. Guests can talk to him about his life, ask him some spiritual questions as well. The Hermit doesn't speak English and I'll be translating. After spending some time at the hermitage, we will walk further to Gudariya Baba temple (10 mins walk). Locals believe that the soul of this holy man protects the sacred forest. On the way we will spot another temple and a watering hole. At the temple, guests may light an earthen lamp and make a wish. I will be providing all the accessories needed at the temple. Guests can opt to plant a tree at no extra charge and leave behind a greener footprint. From the temple we will walk back to the car (20-25 mins) and head back the drop location. Guests coming from Gurgaon may opt to be dropped / picked up from a different location, a day in advance.
A passionate traveler, photographer, dreamer and an environmentalist . I have a corporate career on weekdays and follow my passion on Weekends. I am member of the largest walking group of Gurgaon and love exploring the villages and forests situated in Aravallis mountain ranges around Delhi NCR region. I run a YouTube channel "Nature-Fitness" for creating awareness in conserving The Aravalis and encouraging people to lead a healthy lifestyle through forest bathing https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC5rat-_m2W8KLToCzAxccKw Believe you me those who think that Delhi NCR region is all but not nature, would be proven wrong. This region has many hidden lakes, temple and hermitages to explore and uncover.

We will visit Mangar Bani valley, a breathtakingly beautiful forest grove. It harbours rich flora and fauna, and a captivating natural ambience. Revered by the locals and protected through strictures on wood-cutting and grazing, it occupies an area of 677 acres. Mangar Bani is one place in the Indian subcontinent that has remained untouched by the rulers over centuries including the colonial rule.
