San Antonio is one of the most populous cities in the USA and super bike friendly to boot! The City is rich in culture offering early Spanish colonial heritage, historical architecture that all seem to fit given that it is becoming more "modern" and growing in population. VeloGuide Jess knows all there is to know about San Antonio and is excited to show you all there is to see, do and taste along this cycle tour. This is her passion and it will show throughout the experience. This cycling tour is designed to show the best city views, a chance to ride under the Texas sunshine and sample some delicious local cuisine. This experience happens to be a favorite ride of Jess and conveniently starts in the Southside in the heart of downtown. There will be up to 2 hours of riding time. For some, riding in a bigger city can be overwhelming, and you get a feel for the "busy fun" but then all of a sudden... open trails and roads for miles! So many historical buildings and the quiet part of the Riverwalk you can ride by all day. About 20 miles of home good food along the way as you pass breweries and distilleries as you ride along enjoying this epic day.
My name is Jillian, one of the co-founders of VeloGuide which was launched in October 2017 as a bold new initiative to connect the traveling cyclist with a bike and a guide all across the globe. I will be your virtual host and Jess will be your VeloGuide in San Antonio. Cycling in San Antonio is a great way to discover the historical charm and hospitality this City has to offer. Here you will join local VeloGuide Jess who provides a cycling experience that is more than just a ride! She knows all the scenic routes possible while on two wheels and she can also find some great brews, bbq's and tacos along the way. She is excited to share her love of cycling along and with her local knowledge of this City she calls home, San Antonio.
