Will try to show you all places which are not known as must-see points in all available guides. I was trying to explore Łodź by my self and now I can to share this knowledge with others. We will start our travel on the grounds of the biggest village in Europe history, we will visit the nooks and crannies of Bałuty. We will be able to see places that are connected by the history of the two largest nations that inhabited our city - Poles and Jews. Also here, sadly, history has written sad cards - a ghetto and a children's camp ... But you decide how deep in this part we will go. But we can't forget about the Queen of polish streets - Piotrkowska Street, with hundreds of pubs and restaurants. I will not mention all the attractions because something must be a surprise :-)
My name is Łukasz - you can also call me Lukas. I was born and I`m living my whole life in the most characteristic district of the city like Bałuty. when I was a teenager, I thought Łódź was a terrible place. However, over the years I have fallen in love with this city. Now I am now trying to pass on my knowledge and feelings to others, both old friends and newcomers. I hope that after a short time with me, you will find that Łodź is a nice place to spend more than a few days in it ...
As an option, i can show you places with typical Lodz food.
Isn`t it nice to ride on a bike ??
We will be walking from Bałuty - Broken Heart Monument will be our starting point. Then through the ghetto area, Park of survivors and have a small break for local specialties. Next to the Old Town through gates, nooks and crannies. Old factory, now Manufaktura shopping center will be next stop. A few more steps will allow us to reach the queen of Polish streets - Piotrkowska street. We'll end our walk there.
