One of the ways the people from Oviedo (Ovetense) like to spend their free time, is to hike, cycle or skate along a so-called 'Senda Verde' (Green Route). Then, they want to relax and have a tasty, big warm lunch. This experience gives you the opportunity to be a real Ovetense by walking a 10k Senda Verde, relaxing in an 18th century Spa and enjoying a typical Asturian 'Menu del Dia'. We start in Parque de Invierno in the south of Oviedo. The route follows an old railway line, of which I'll tell you more during our hike. The car-free road starts in the park but soon leads through the Asturian countryside with its cows and typical wooden 'Horreos'. We also walk through some tunnels underneath the mountains and cross Asturias' most important river, the Nalon. During our hike I tell you more about the natural surroundings and history. With a bit of luck we'll spot some vultures! After 10k, we arrive at the Spa where you'll spend 2.5 hours in its warm water and saunas. After this, we'll have a well-deserved Menu del Dia (three-course menu) in one of the village's restaurants. Then, we will together take the bus back to Oviedo.
After finishing my Doctorate in environmental research I realized I am most passionate about sharing the wonders of nature with others. I have been a guide for WWF the Netherlands for over 10 years, letting kids and teenagers experience various nature areas. After moving to Asturias with my Spanish husband in 2018, I started my own travel company intoAsturias. I blog, develop and guide tours in the beautiful nature here in northern Spain to let international visitors experience and explore the Asturian nature, culture and gastronomy.

Bus ticket for our way back to Oviedo.
We'll start in Parque de Invierno in the south of Oviedo. From here, we will follow the Senda Verde via the (former) train stations La Manjoya and Fuso de la Reina. The route ends in the small village Las Caldas, where you'll enter the spa and have our lunch. From Las Caldas we take the bus back to Oviedo (either to the starting point of the route or to the city centre).
最多可有10位年满18周岁的参与者参加。 The hike lasts 2-3 hours. The road is slightly ascending, but well-paved, so everyone with a basic physical condition should be able to join.
Note that the price of the Spa and the Menu del Dia is not included. The price of the Spa varies depending on the season (14 or 25 euros). Also, I will not always join you in the Spa (depending on the group composition and preference). The price of the Menu del Dia is around 20 euros.
