We are going to be combing the beach in search of unique seashells. Such as Fighting Conch's and Olive shells. There are plenty of others to find as well. During our time together you will learn the following ~ Types of shells and correct names ~ History of how the shells got here ~ Best times to go shell hunting ~ Where to dig holes and how you'll know you've found a honey hole ~ How to look for shells on top of the sand ~ Proper etiquette when it comes to being a shell hunter ~ Best method of tools to use when looking for shells ~ How to clean and polish your seashells
I've been living in the area for about 4 years now. It's been my passion since moving here to spend as much time on the beach. I accidentally discovered these seashells when I was building a sandcastle and from there on I spent probably 2 days a week combing the beaches for really nice shells. There is alot to learn when it comes to looking for shells on this beach, and I've made the mistakes so that you don't have to. Once you've spent some time with me, you'll be hooked and become an avid shell hunter when you visit the beautiful beaches of Gulf Shores.

You'll be visiting the gorgeous public beaches of Gulf Shores, AL. While this is a well accessed public beach, not many know what they may be potentially sitting on when getting a tan on the beach. For parking I would suggest parking near the restaurant known as Picnic Beach. That area has FREE parking, otherwise you can park in the Hangout parking lot, but that costs money but is closer to the beach.
