We'll start out on the bustling, village- like Hampstead high street, the historic heart of the area, exploring some of the lovely back streets full of charm, and unchanged for hundreds of years. We'll wander into the lesser-known areas where beautiful church yards and ancient village streets are full of stories, the memories of famous people and constant birdsong. Walking into the wild nature of Hampstead Heath, we'll get gorgeous views of London, along with learning about how the nature made Hampstead famous and desirable in the first place, and the artists and writers who fell in love with the unique area. We'll visit the house of famous writers and artists like John Keats, Daphne du Maurier and John Constable and I'll read some of their best poems and show examples of their art. Depending, we'll end the 2-hour walk in a lovely traditional English pub for a well-deserved drink and bite to eat. Looking forward to showing you the magic of Hampstead!
I am English and have a Masters degree in Classics and History from Edinburgh University, and at the start of 2018 started my own Tour Guiding company giving tours twice a week all around London's fascinating districts, galleries and museums. I have always loved interacting with people and travelled widely after university, meeting people from all over the world, and living in China, Italy, Spain and Germany at different times. Along with good people skills, I offer a great depth of historical context to the places we will visit, along with many funny and quirky tales from London's histor

If particular interest is the poet John Keats' house, where he wrote famous poems which I'll read. Then Church Street, a gorgeous historic street, and secret paths through the sublime nature.
