For this class you'll meet me out on the beach. Don't forget your water bottle and some sunblock! I set up all the equipment, all you have to bring is a sense of adventure. The class is 75 minutes long and is catered to the students present. We have had people as young as 10 years old to people 60+ years. About 90% of people taking the class are first time Aerial Yogis. Whether you are an experienced yogi, or it is your first time, there is something for everyone! It is a non-competitive atmosphere and we mostly focus on having fun, while staying safe and then of course relaxing in the hammock. The hammocks can support all body types and you can choose poses to your comfort level. This class ends with a wonderful aerial savasana with the sounds of crashing ocean waves.
My name is Tori, I have a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology from the University of Florida. While pursuing my degree I was actively involved with the Group Fitness program on campus. I taught my own yoga and dance classes, as well as mentoring other instructors. I founded and trained instructors for the Aerial Yoga program currently on campus. My passions have always involved being outdoors and active. I worked as an Assistant Instructor on a Flying Trapeze and have been teaching yoga classes since 2015. My favourite part of teaching Aerial Yoga is watching my student's confidence grow over the course of the class. I believe anyone can accomplish anything with enough time and dedication.
