We'll cruise out and see the local sights (dolphins & sea turtles) heading out towards Gulf of Mexico the perfect day adventure, outdoors, not to physical of a learning experience. An introduction coastal cruising of the St Petersburg - Tampa Bay waters get as involved as you want, have fun, be safe and enjoy a day cruising-sailing. Your choice of morning or afternoon sail, morning 9AM to Noon, afternoon sail 1-4PM Starting we'll walk around have a safety briefing, move on to parts of sailboat and basic sailing . Introduction to learn coastal cruising - Get as much hands on experience as you want. You'll be coached on coastal cruising, learn by performing experience: hoisting sails, tending lines and sheets - sailing drills, learning to tack into the wind - jib with the wind, no prior experience required,. When we're under way, you'll be performing setting and trimming both the main & jib sails, practicing tacking and jibing drills - switching working positions and learn basic's at different crew stations - tending lines, working the winches, setting sails including helm - steering the boat. Or just sit back and enjoy the experience. On the "Plan B" enjoy FL sun, great salt water views and memories and an introduction to what yacht cruising it is really like. Snacks (chips) and beverages included Soda & bottled water.
My passion of sailing started when I was 10 years old, since the first time on a sail boat, I was hooked today I enjoy introducing the sailing experience to the young and old sailors. Former Commander USCG AUX 9-10 Ft. Myers-Cape Coral FL, current 100-ton Master Captain with sailing endorsement, over 5 years sailing instructor experience with both US Sailing, American Sailing Association certified for Basic Keelboat, Coastal Cruising, Bare Boat, Navigation, Catamaran sailing courses. I've taught sailing classes in BVI, USVI, FL Keys, Sanibel-Captiva FL, Ft Myers Beach and St Petersburg Florida. For your experience I will try to accommodate you so you get the most out your sailing St Petersburg/Tampa Bay area experience.

We meet in the Snead Island Boat Works Marina, in Palmentto FL on the sailing vessel "Plan B" a 45'DS Jeanneau Sailboat. On board you'll enjoy a sail briefing on the Tampa Bay waters. We head out, set sail to go where to wind takes us, such as Skyway Bridge, Fort Desota Park, and other coastal areas Tampa Bay areas. Views one can't be seen from land, white sand beaches most likely dolphins and sea turtles.

The Plan B is in a secured gated marina dock, call my cell 239-671-5929 when arrive at marina there is plenty of parking near the boat. Must be able to climb steps and have balance. Best if suitable for 2 or more people
