This is a a small group wine tour experience for individuals or small parties of people and available for a max of 8 pp. We'll start from our meeting point in Nice at 9 am. Our trip out to Provence's main area for top vineyards will be around an hour each way. We'll discuss the region and its vineyards on the way. Your guide and wine expert will enlighten you on all the questions you might have even before we arrive. We will visit 3 wineries during the day, meet the local guides or owners and taste a variety of wines, mainly rosés as that is the speciality. Apart from the noteworthy rosés that come in all funny shapes of bottles, there'll be a few whites & reds as well. Lunch time is always very important for us and always included! The 3 course lunch will be typical frenchie in a local countryside restaurant or at a winery of course accompanied by more wine with high standard of quality to share with our guests the Art of the French Cuisine!
I'm a big foody, wine lover and traveller, born and raised on a farm producing wine and milk (the famous stinky blue cheese Roquefort). I'm a French winemaker and agronomist who worked many years in Bordeaux as a head wine manager for top wine negociants before meeting my Danish wife on a wine tour in Tuscany. We decided 10 years ago to develop our own personal wine tours in France, in Italy named Grape Tours. We love to visit boutique wineries to explain to our guests all the science but also all the soul behind a glass of wine, especially Rosé of Provence, with a great lunch included. Cedric and Franck work occasionally with me on tours. Cedric is a wine consultant especially in USA and in China. Franck is a winemaker and a teacher in viticulture.
