One thing I certainly want to tell anybody coming to Kraków is that exploring it without some way to get to know what's what and why it is there is a tremendous waste. It is that way because Kraków is exceptionally rich in capital H History. Monuments, stories and legends go back to the beginning of the Polish nation all the way to the present day, right in the "Heart of Poland". With that said what I offer is my own take on how to present to you all that unfolded and engraved itself into the streets of my town. Have I mentioned I was born and raised in Kraków? Well, I am a local through and through and there are a certain perspective and emotional charge in me that I hope to pass onto you. I want to give you the general idea of the history of Poland which I cut into digestible and narratable chunks that will also relate to things that you will be able to touch and see for yourself. We will go from the Old Town to the Castle on the Wawel hill and anchor more than a dozen times to talk about what you see and how does that tie into the city in a meaningful way. See you there!
My name is Rudolf and I have the pleasure and privilege of having lived my whole life in the royal city of Kraków. I have been a history geek for my whole life. I take great enjoyment from meeting new people - listening to their stories and getting to know their perspective. But my discovered passion happens to be guiding whether it would be my friends, friends of friends' or Airbnb Guests. And so I decided to try to help everybody enjoy the city to the fullest while being aware and mindful of the richness around them.
Kraków's regional bread snack :)
