Learn to play African and Colombian percussions, Marimba a typical instrument from the Pacific coast and learn the local salsa steps, (or Bachata or African Kizomba!) all this inside a fascinating temple! You’ll learn about the local music scene and about the history of this 90 years old Egyptian palace which is an important part of the history of Medellín. You can come with your family, friends or on your own and improve your drumming and dance skills or just to have fun while hearing about the local music.
I have studied music and dancing for over 20 years and after traveling around the world I realized that my home is in Colombia, here I can live out my passions. The variety of music and dancing is amazing and the importance of those in the local culture is big. I love to show the city to people through music, the way I see it and to show them the local talents and help them take home the best souvenir - Colombian music and dance skills!
Colombian coffee or natural tee.
The class is held in the Egyptian Palace, built by a local optometrist who, after traveling in Egypt, decided to build his house in Medellín like a real Egyptian temple. You can also visit the first observation tower of Medellín and get a beautiful view of the city.

No experience needed, the class can be done at your level, advanced or beginner, doesn’t matter.
