Having studied art therapy my philosophy on teaching pottery is that it should be fun and easy. You can expect humour and laughter at one of my sessions. You can also expect a simple step by step approach to learning pottery skills.
One of the most popular of my pottery classes you will learn a variety of hand building techniques such as pinching and coiling that allow you to transform a block of clay into a teapot. Once fired you will have a usable teapot which you can show off to your friends at your next tea party! For groups of two or more weekday dates can be requested.
Aprons are supplied but please wear comfortable and casual clothing that you won’t mind possibly getting clay on.
Clay, Glazes, Firing All the clay needed to make your pieces as well as a choice of glazes to colour them. Kiln firing of pieces (allow 4 weeks).
You'll experience the joys of hand building with clay in my studio and gallery Something at Mary's based in the stunning surroundings of Sydney's Royal National Park.
