In this experience, we'll do 5 fun activities designed for K-culture lovers. You won't believe how quickly the time will fly by. Our first stop will be a place to rent a traditional Korean outfit called a Hanbok—you will become half-Korean just by wearing it. Then we'll head to a traditional house known as a Hanok. Once there, we can appreciate the calm and beauty of the house, and understand how Korean people used to live. It’s really cool to drink a cup of Korean tea and chill in the garden. Then we'll start a calligraphy class. I'll introduce Hangeul—Korean lettering—and its history. You'll learn how to write your name in Korean. You'll be amazed by how simple and scientific it is. After that, you'll use a brush-and-ink pen to make a personal bookmark using your own calligraphy. Then we'll check your knowledge of Korea with a quiz—it’s a good way to learn new things about Korea and have fun at the same time. We'll play the traditional board game called Yut-nori. You'll need some luck and strategy to win the game, because it’s not over until it’s really over. You’ll want to play it whole day.
Hi, I'm Moon Young and I'm a lifetime wanderlust. I love experiencing new places as well as introducing this lovely country, Korea, to you. I am a qualified Korean teacher with a 1st degree certificate, and I've taught the language to foreign students for a long time. I’ve explored 25 countries until now and want to do a lot more in the future. I believe the most memorable things about traveling to a new place are special experiences and the people you meet there. I am sure you will make unforgettable memories with my K-culture experience at a Hanok along with good friends.

We'll meet at An-guk Subway Station, then take an easy stroll to a nearby Hanok where the experience will take place. It's located in the Bukchon area, a famous Hanok village. It's close to main tourist attractions such as Gyeongbokgung Palace and the Insa-dong neighborhood. There are many museums, traditional restaurants, and coffee shops in the area. It's an iconic place for you to feel the genuine Korea.
最多可有10位年满10周岁的参与者参加。 Friends, couples, and families are all welcome. Of course solo travelers like me (most of the time) are most welcome, too.
* We need to take off shoes when entering the room at Hanok. Please be aware. * 5% of your activity fee goes to NGO for kids in the 3rd world countries to study.
